Cromatica - by Indianhead

The idea for the track was to portray an alien journey into a dead city solely documented by surveillance. The machine as narrator. Then some suicidal northerners decided that they'd like a bit of this Al Qaeda fame. So, although the track will undoubtedly seem linked to recent events, we thought the notion of existentialism and suicidal statements, with systems that are promoted as the answer to all our problems by effectively documenting the failure of societal cohesion, was an interesting project.

Indianhead gives us a sneak preview of next year's album.

Bob Butler - by DAT500

In 1995 he came over to the UK to play a short tour supporting Killdozer - ask your ugly cousin/uncle about them - with my old boss and myself playing bass and drums respectively, as the band Brain Police. We had a brilliant time up and down motorways, being reviewed by dodgy metal mags and ended our jaunt with a 12-hour recording session in Nottingham (8pm-8am), playing Bob’s new songs in one take with a single overdub in the dark for Bob’s extra vocals and guitar.

DAT500 finds an old friend.

2.1mmol/l- by Insular

Some of the work on Letzter Atem was previewed via different remixes during the life-span of Jim Rossignol's Big Robot project. However, 2.1mmol/l has not been available elsewhere and is the first track on the new album.

Insular's second album, Letzter Atem, is nearing completion and should be released a month or so after the launch of the new Serial website at the end of March. Letzter Atem is a continuation of the abstract autobiographical themes originated from Insular's 1999 album, Profit.
