You know what it's like, a perfectly innocent message board thread suddenly gets mauled and then derailed before it's even had chance to open one sleepy eye. It's bound to happen every now and then, even on the least troll-stricken boards.
There are many ways to brake the headlong rush of the thread towards oblivion, but few as creative as that employed by Mark Nicoll when a _blackbored thread innocuously titled Thief 3 Editor Released threatened to go to the big sticky in the sky.
